Online Consultation & Fees

Vets, do you need a cancer case evaluated remotely?

It is often a challenging time for both veterinarians and pet owners when a pet is diagnosed with cancer. Understandably, many pet owners find themselves emotionally overwhelmed and seek information about their pet's prognosis and available treatment options. In some locations, a referral to a veterinary oncologist is readily available. However, there are instances when pet owners may not have immediate access to a veterinary oncologist.

At The Pet Oncologist, we offer veterinarians online pet cancer advice and support (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 3 pm AEST) from board-certified specialist veterinary oncologists, to provide the best possible care and recommendations for all species of pets with cancer. Our online veterinary oncology service is available to all veterinarians worldwide. Consultation reports are provided for all online cases.

For each initial online consultation, we will thoroughly review all the case information submitted, and provide veterinarians with a comprehensive written report with an interpretation of results, details about the cancer's biologic behaviour and prognosis, and multiple treatment options to cater to the individual needs of the pet and pet owners. We will also provide recommendations for your patient’s next diagnostic steps, and address any specific questions or concerns that you may have.

Follow-ups, chemotherapy protocols, handouts and drug information sheets, can be provided for an additional fee (see below).

Veterinarians can organise an initial online consultation by completing this 'SUBMIT ONLINE CONSULTATION' form. Alternatively, please click here to manually fill in this consultation form. Then please email this form, along with any attachments to info@thepetoncologist.com
